Soul Detox - Week 3
Soul Detox - Week 2
What do you do to relieve stress?
Does your soul need rest/restoration right now?
We are in the midst of a series on the the most important thing about you…. your soul. Your soul is what makes you… you.
Your soul drives what you think —about yourself, about life, and other people.
Your soul drives what you do, how you act.
Your soul ultimately is where joy, or happiness, comes from.
If your soul is unhealthy then your life will be affected in an unhealthy way. If your soul is healthy, then life is affected in a healthy way.
The path to a better life, different life, is to heal the soul.
How committed are you to healing your soul?
What situations and/or circumstances have you let darken your soul?
Why don’t we live like we are empowered?
Read aloud Ephesians 1:15-21
What do these verses say about Jesus’ power?
What do they say about His resurrection?
How is His power unlocked?
Why does Paul stress getting your soul close to God first and foremost?
Human beings are made up of mind, body, and soul. Jesus says the soul has the most powerful influence. When it is connected to him, it has a purifying influence.
In what way does this truth lead us to torture ourselves?
Doug listed several ways we torture ourselves, such as, comparison, envy, self medication, etc.
What would you add to this list?
In addition he said, we practice sin instead of righteousness.
What does that mean?
Do you believe you are a perpetual victim or an overcomer?
Do you believe you will have victory in the areas that plague your soul? Why or why not?
Read aloud Romans 10:8-10 and Acts 3:19
What are the two ways to detox your soul?
What will you do this week to practice righteousness instead of sin?
