Mark 2:1-12, Matthew 17:14-21, Galatians 6:1-2, & 1 Corinthians 9:24-27


In The Word

  1. What stands out about the paralyzed man’s friends in Mark 2:2:1-5?

  2. Why do you think the four men were so persistent to get their friend to Jesus?

  3. Name some ways Matthew 17:14-21 shows the same persistence as the four friends in Mark 2. Explain how it is different.

  4. How does Galatians 6:1-2 give us other ideas about serving those around us? Can that activity help point others to Jesus who do not know Him?

  5. Name some truths that 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 remind us of as we try to help others connect with Jesus.


Making It Personal

  1. Why is it hard to serve our friends like the paralyzed man’s friends did? What have you regretted not doing for a friend in need?

  2. How can we perceive needs of our friends and family that we can assist with? Are there times you have found when you should not step into a situation to help?

  3. Who was someone in your life that made a difference for you because of their persistence?

  4. Is there someone in your life that you need to be persistent to help find Jesus?
