A place to find any updated information for special circumstances.

April 15

Our first digital Easter is in the books. It definitely wasn’t the same not being able to worship together in person. It was still one for the records. This was by far the highest attended Easter service Foothills has ever held. Thank you for joining in!

If you haven’t heard yet, the governor extended the stay at home order until the end of April. Therefore we will continue to worship digitally Sunday mornings. Continue inviting friends and family. Especially those who attended on Easter. Continue to host a digital watch party.

These are trying times. We want to hear from you. How are you really doing? Please take a moment to let us know. Fill out this 20 question survey. It will help us know best what you need, how to minister and pray for you. CLICK HERE FOR SURVEY. Link expires Friday.

It’s Holy Week! This will be the first digital Easter in the history of the world. What an amazing opportunity to share Jesus with the rest of the world. In preparation for this amazing event, Pastor Doug has crafted a week long countdown for you and your family to participate in.

Check it out on our church at home page.

While church may not be meeting on campus, church is still happening. You are the church! It is anywhere God’s people are gathered together…even digitally. You can still gather your friends together in a small group, and enjoy church together as a family by having Church at Home.

We have compiled resources for you to do both, and do them well. Visit the Foothills home page for details.

March 25

Things have changed drastically. Today Governor Little declared a Stay at Home order at 1:30 pm effective immediately and in effect for 21 days. While the church will still be operating the Foodbank and other essential services, we are encouraging everyone to comply with the state mandated order.

Small groups will move to digital meetings via zoom, google hangouts, skype, etc. Watch parties will no longer meet in homes, but are encouraged to continue digital watch parties with your friends and family via Facebook or YouTube watch parties. Details will be posted to the Foothills home page as we gather resources and tutorials.

Check the website regularly to stay up to date.

Kim Cross discussed the resiliency of children and offered some great tips in her FH Live interview today. Here is a Resiliency document with activities for your kids and a review of what they discussed on the interview.

Your neighbors may need your help. Print this PDF and let them know you are here for them.
On Sunday pastor Doug mentioned the Principle of 5. Who are 5 people that you will be in fellowship with this week? Download the principle of 5 PDF and jot down 5 names.

March 22

For Sunday morning, we ask that you watch from home at 9:30am or 11am, or join a watch party (with 10 or less) so there are seats available for those who can’t stream online.

In the auditorium, we will have seating for up to 50 people total. “Seating pods” of various sizes are setup 6’ apart to comply with the CDC recommendation.

More Info

Our goal as a church is to be safe and protect all who are a part of Foothills. As well as, be there for people, available and calm. We do not want to overreact or underreact.

We are in consistent and direct communication with the experts. We have been advised to set three benchmarks which will drive our decisions:

Benchmark #1: Initial Awareness of Event

  • Notice of pandemic we will evaluate and increase protocols
  • Seek advice from professionals in the field, follow their advice.
  • Openly share all information with our community.

Benchmark #2: Declaration of a Pandemic, Declaration of State Emergency

  • Review all systems and processes.
  • Change all process according to expert advice. (Cleaning, social interactions, etc.)
  • Issue a challenge to pray.
  • Call all people associated with our community to be agents of peace and continue to care for others.
  • Institute all Social Distancing protocols for church gatherings.

Benchmark #3: Community spreading. Closing of Schools and Health Department Issuing a Ceasing of all Large Gatherings

  • Move services to online options.

We are currently at Benchmark #3

Please do what you believe is best for your family. If you have concerns about being in a crowd, please stay home and watch online here.

REMEMBER: The church is not a building. The church is you. GO BE THE CHURCH!

Here’s How:

  • Host a watch party with your small group.
  • Spend time in prayer.
  • Be generous: community needs are going to rise. We as the church have the opportunity to shine light to our neighbors though your generosity.

The virus is contagious. But so is:

  • Fear
  • Anxiety
  • Hysteria
  • Love
  • Patience
  • Peace
  • Kindness
